My first contact with SANDS was in 1987 when I approached the organisation for support after the premature birth and death of my twin daughters, Andrea and Amy, 23 weeks into my second pregnancy. At this time I had a 3 year old daughter and in 1989 gave birth to a son, 18 months after the death of my twins. The support I received was invaluable and I am pleased to be part of the team in Edinburgh who offer a variety of services to families in the Lothians who experience the death of a baby.
