Future Lost, Futures Found

Screen Shot 2013-11-12 at 14.58.08

As the title, Future Lost, Futures Found suggests, with the death of a baby, the magnitude of coming to terms with a future lost seems overwhelming.

How do you keep going? How do you get through the first few days, let alone years, when you have lost the future you envisaged, the happiness and the excitement you felt at the imminent arrival of your newborn baby?

SANDS Lothians helps parents to see that others have survived similar devastating experiences and the parents stories contained in this book are written accounts of the days, months and years following the death of their precious babies. We hope that by reading the stories grieving families can in their despair find courage and hope and can work towards a new future to regain meaning in their lives and remember with great love, the short life of their child.

Books are available from our offices at Craiglockhart, Craigsfarm and our charity shop in Sth Clerk Street, we can accept cash, credit/debit card, cheque payable to SANDS Lothians books are £20 and if require post & packaging within UK, cost is £25.

James Gillespies High & YPI

A huge thank you to the pupils at James Gillespies High who won £3,000 for us at the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) earlier this year. YPI is an international programme managed and principally funded in Scotland by the Wood Family Trust. We are only one of the charities benefiting from all the grants given to local charities across the country totalling £324,000. We are very proud to be involved with YPI and thank all schools who represent us. Well done James Gillespies High many thanks from us all at SANDS Lothians.
